FIRETEX is the Sherwin-Williams range of thin-film intumescent coatings for the passive fire protection of structural steelwork. The range covers the solvent-based FX1000 and FX2000 series, the water-based FX5000 series, the ultra-fast-drying FX6002 and FX6010 grades, and the two-pack epoxy FIRETEX Platinum products for hydrocarbon fire scenarios. Coatings are applied on site or off site by airless spray, with brush and roller used for stripe coats and small repairs.

- CE marked to EN 13381-8, with EN 13381-9 cover for cellular beams using FX5120
- Selected grades rated for external service up to corrosivity category C5 to ISO 12944-2
