Hensotherm is Rudolf Hensel’s intumescent coating range, covering both timber and structural steel. On interior timber, Hensotherm 2 KS Innen is an opaque coating that takes the substrate to reaction to fire class B-s1,d0 under DIN EN 13501, and on structural steel the Hensotherm KS coatings build a carbon foam insulating layer that delays the section reaching its critical temperature.
- Timber grade Hensotherm 2 KS Innen is classified B-s1,d0 to DIN EN 13501 by SBI test under European classification report KB-Hoch-230561, in a white matt finish
- Steel grade Hensotherm 471 KS is a water based one component interior system covering R15 to R180 on open and closed hollow sections, including approved galvanised sections, with Certifire certificate CF 5344
- Formulated free of halogens, APEO, borates, plasticisers and silicones
All Hensotherm systems are built as three layers: primer, intumescent coating and top coat, each applied as set out in the relevant approval.
