The QuelStop Fire Batt (QB50) is an ablative coated mineral wool board used to reinstate the fire rating of wall and floor constructions that have been penetrated by services. The mineral wool core provides thermal and acoustic insulation while the ablative coating reacts in a fire to form a robust barrier. It is tested to BS EN 1366-3 and classified to EN 13501-2, and forms the basis of the wider QuelStop firestopping system alongside collars, sleeves and wraps.
- Board size 1200mm x 600mm x 50mm at 140 kg/m3 density
- Suitable for flexible walls, rigid walls and floors
- Seals cables, cable bunches, trays and ladders, and non-combustible pipes
- Plastic pipes require an additional Quelfire collar, wrap or sleeve
