Protecta Fr Damper

The Protecta FR Damper fireproofs ventilation ducts where they penetrate fire-rated constructions such as compartment walls and fire walls, preventing the passage of fire and smoke. Horizontal steel blades treated with heat-expanding graphite close automatically in a fire, so the unit needs no electrical connection, no wiring and no maintenance. It is installed inside the duct to conserve space, duct insulation is not required, and the manufacturer states a working life of over 50 years.
