Protecta FR Graphite Plate is a self-adhesive, pre-cut intumescent plate that reinstates the fire resistance of flexible gypsum wall constructions where plastic electrical wall boxes penetrate the wall. The graphite-based intumescent expands rapidly under heat to close the aperture left as the box distorts and melts. As a pre-cut plate it fits in seconds with no tools and no wet trades, and it carries a stated minimum service life of 50 years.
- Fire resistance from EI 30 to EI 120
- For gypsum walls of at least 75mm thickness with steel or timber studs and 12.5mm board layers
- Apply at temperatures above 0 deg C
