A smoke and fire curtain for roof voids, made from impregnated glass cloth sealed with an intumescent coating. It withstands temperatures up to 1200 degrees C and forms a smoke resistant barrier achieving Class 0 and Class 1 spread of flame to BS 476.
The material is hard wearing and can be cut with a sharp knife or scissors, with adhesive supplied for joining sections. A rolled curtain unit is also available with electric motor activation, dropping when triggered and re-rolling from a switch. Typical uses are shopping malls, exhibition halls and factories.
