A metal frame with a fireproof drop curtain, fitted over an existing animal door flap so that a fire door with a pet flap can still offer fire and smoke protection. It is designed to suit standard Staywell and Petsafe cat and dog flaps, and a bat flap version is available.
A thermal link releases the curtain at 70 degrees C, roughly four minutes into a fire, dropping the intumescent-backed curtain across the aperture.
