The QIF Insulated Fire Sleeve stops fire spreading along combustible plastic pipes and non-combustible metal pipes where they penetrate fire compartment walls and floors. It is built from a reinforced foil containing an insulating mineral fibre together with graphite intumescent material, so it seals the penetration while maintaining the pipe insulation and allowing thermal movement. No mechanical fixings are needed and it can be retrofitted, which makes it a practical choice on live sites.
