Flametect C-WD is a low viscosity, clear water-based flame retardant impregnation for timber and timber-based products, manufactured in the UK by Eco-Sol Ltd. It soaks into the surface rather than forming a paint film, so the natural appearance of the timber is retained, and it is bromine and borate free, non-toxic and non-irritant. It is applied by spray, brush or immersion, normally in two to three coats with about an hour between coats.
