Description

An incombustible fireproof sponge that emits no toxic fumes and will not burn if exposed to fire, degrading slowly instead to form a fire-stopping barrier. It is often faced with Envirograf cement filler (Product 63) to complete the seal.

The material is supplied in standard strips, in metre lengths and in sheets, with other sizes made to order. Profile sponge is supplied cut to match steel cladding profiles where a fire break is needed under roofing sheets.
