The ROCKWOOL FirePro SoftSeal system is a low-density stone wool batt pre-coated with FirePro SoftSeal Flexible Coating, used to firestop linear joints and head-of-wall gaps. It is supplied coated on one side for horizontal joints and on both sides for vertical joints, and is compressed into the joint so it can flex as the structure moves. The system is also used to extend the fire and acoustic performance of a masonry wall up through the void above a suspended ceiling.
