A multi-purpose metal fire box lined with intumescent, with one detachable face to make fitting easier. The sponge inside is cut with a sharp blade to feed cables, cable trays and pipes through.
Intumescent along the internal edges expands inwards at high temperature to form a fire and smoke seal. Fixing brackets allow the box to be screwed to surfaces around services, including awkward corners, and it can be recessed into hollow plasterboard walls. The sponge is easily replaced when required.
