Carboline supplies a full passive fireproofing range for structural steel and building assemblies, split between cementitious sprayed fire resistive materials (SFRMs) and intumescent fire resistive materials (IFRMs). The SFRM side covers concealed and exposed steel in commercial and industrial buildings, while the intumescent side is aimed at exposed steelwork where appearance matters, and at hydrocarbon fire risk in oil, gas and petrochemical plant.
Products are specified by fire duration and by the fire curve the structure has to survive, with cellulosic and hydrocarbon testing carried out to recognised international standards. Consult the current Carboline product data sheet for each named product before specifying, as thicknesses and approvals are product and assembly specific.
- Cementitious SFRMs including Southwest Type 5GP, 5MD, 5AR, 7GP and 7HD
- Cementitious high and medium density Pyrocrete 40, Pyrocrete 239 and Pyrocrete 241
- Thin film intumescents including A/D Firefilm III, Thermo-Sorb VOC, Nullifire S605 and S606
- Epoxy intumescents including Thermo-Lag E100 and Thermo-Lag 3000 for hydrocarbon exposure
